What is the service area of Byte Size wDSL?
The coverage area is ~10 miles, line of sight, from our towers. We currently cover ~250 square miles.

What is the speed of Byte Size wDSL?
Our service ranges in speed from 256 kbps up to 3Mbps. You select the throughput you need.

Can Byte Size wDSL connect to multiple computers?
Our service can connect to your existing LAN and all of your computers can access the Internet. Or it can be connected to a single PC.

What equipment do I need to buy?

The equipment needed to access the service is all provided to you by Byte Size. There is a Network Interface device, Cabling, and Antenna that are installed at your place of business by Byte Size.

Will rain or fog affect the service?
The service is provided using the Spread Spectrum frequencies and is immune to "rain fade" or other weather conditions. Byte Size has engineered the system to withstand all forms of interference.

Can I get this for my house?
The Byte Size wDSL service is currently marketed to businesses. The price structure of the service is not designed for residential or entertainment use at this time. Byte Size does offer a SOHO service for residential homes.

How long does it take to install the service?

The equipment is usually installed within three (3) working days after the order is placed.

Call Byte Size at 410-723-2702 or in Delaware 877-723-2702. You inquiry will be directed to one of our technical to help you attach the service to your LAN and instruct you on the use of the service.

What other services, besides Internet Access, are available through Byte Size wDSL?
Byte Size offers WWW design and hosting, DNS, Email, FTP, and NTP. These services are all available to our Internet Access customers.

How much does the service cost?
The 256k service is twice as fast as an ISDN connection and is priced to compete with dedicated ISDN products. The higher speeds compete with T-1 services and are priced to be attractive to those users. Additional information is available on the www.beachin.net/wireless page.
